Default Pro Tools Reboots PC every time during launch/loading of plugins

OK fresh install of Win 7 64bit, fresh install of PT9 using Delta Audiophile 2496.

Haven't actually been able to get into PT yet as it crashes/reboots my PC every time I launch the program. I have tried removing plugins to the (unused) folder and still the same problem - I would presume it is not plugin related. Here we go again with hours and hours of trying to install the new version of PT. I should have learned my lesson by now and started using another DAW.

Any ideas?

Have you installed the driver for the M-audio card? Try holding the N key while opening PT and see if you can get to the window where you choose the audio engine, and see if you can select the M-Audio card, if its not already. If that's no help, maybe open up Device Manager and go thru each item and let it update drivers(connect to the internet for that).

Hi Anarchill, I did get it working on AMD FX chip but had to do some BIOS changes. Basically, I disabled the automatic CPU boost and it works now. I still get the occasional freeze but only when I add certain plugins (luckily the ones that come with PT9 that I do not use anyway) but at least my new build PC now runs PT9.
