A good tip if you're having problems installing, but I haven't done an uninstall before upgrade since PT 12 maybe?

If installing over works for you, no problem, glad it does. For the extra couple of minutes it takes, I prefer a clean install. Several versions back, that was always recommended.

Indeed, I have done both ways, but in the recent past(since 2019), I have started running the uninstaller first(and always select to uninstall the HD Driver if you see that option, no matter if you have HD or not). I skip the registry clean up but I may run that after a few updates as it does always seem to clear out dozens of useless files and links.
