Default Sign here to get Masterlist CD integrated into Protools

If you would like to burn a CD direct from a Protools session without having to bounce a file then sign here please. For us in radio land the number of prospective Protools users who go off the idea when they find out Protools can't do this is embarrassing. It makes it very difficult to sell Protools in Radio Broadcasters.

Please fix it Digi and bring Masterlist CD from the dead!

As much as I like MasterList as a stand-alone program, it would REALLY be nice if PT could handle the job.

I've been asking for this for years. I would love to see it happen. DVD-Audio authoring as well.

Thanks for the suggestion folks.

This feature will not be available in the upcoming release of Pro Tools 6 for OSX. However, this has been submitted as a feature request to the Product Management team here at Digi for consideration in a future release.

Agree with Blairl. Not only we need a CD burning capability but a DVD-Audio authoring software. The CD market is dead, we have to burn DVDs instead of CDs in the future.
So maybe that's the reason Digi doesn't include a CD burning option into the new PT at all…
Am I right, Digi CS #6087???

Since you distribute Sonic Solutions NoNOISE, Why not integrate Sonic's CD-DVD mastering software into the ProTools domain.

I was a beta tester for MasterList CD in 1992. Back then I requested the programmer to put the tracking/indexing flags directly into the Pro Tools application with the ability to burn CDs.

Because this never happened, I still have an old Project II system with an Apogee PSX-100 in front of a 16-bit 888 interface on a G4 with OS 8.6 running Sound Designer II and MasterList CD for CD-Mastering. Basically the same setup I've been using (sans the PSX) since 1993. I haven't found anything better or more straight forward for getting mixes in, doing fade-ins and fade-outs in the playlist, importing those playlists into MasterList, then immediately burning a CD.

So here's my vote again, and again, and again...

But in talking with Digi reps (the latest as of 3/2004), it doesn't seem like this is very high on their list. It sounds like it might be off the list completely.

I really miss my Masterlist! I bought Waveburner Pro, thinking ahead to OSX and how ML will not work. WBP is OK, but there is such an ease to MLCD that I really miss! Digi bring MLCD back!!!

YES!
i can only support this request by posting here, though it seems rather unlikely if it's such a major programming job as they say...
but that's what wish lists are for - keep wanting it - it may materialize!
anybody wanna buy MLCD 2.4 for a buck??? just kiddin...
