home studio
plz. help me with a starting kit for making beats and recording/mixing down...i got so far ptle, m-audio speakers, mic/with stand. i was thinking about buting a compresssor and a mpc2000xl-zp, with a yamaha ps172 61-key portable keyboard, and that keyboard for pro tools...question 2, is that ptle keyboard good or should i get the c8.....plz help!

Hello and welcome to the DUC!
Is THIS the keyboard you're refering too? That's a standard qwerty-keyboard, the only difference is that it's colored! And it's Mac only Do you have THE BUNDLE? If so, then you can start recording right now by using the sounds with Reason Adapted and Sampletank. Try it all out for a while and see what parts you're not satisfied with... You want a hardware sampler and/or different sounds? Then go for the mpc2000. Try the things you have for a while and see what it lacks. Good luck!
