pro tools 10 upgrade question

hey everyone, this is my first post here.
I currently own an imac running pro tools m powered 8.
i would like to purchase some kind of usb mixer to use as an interface instead of what i have now. (fast track ultra)

to do this i realize i will need to upgrade my version of pro tools

my question is this:
will my ilok key work with pro tools 9 or 10?
meaning can i just buy the software from someone and use my current ilok?

Yes you can use the old iLok, but if you are moving up, you might want to buy a new iLok 2 and then sell your old M-Powered software with the old iLok

some plug-in(s) require the v2 iLok to upgrade to the mist current version(s)
they do hold more licencence
