How come Track Input Monitor sounds different than Track Record Enable?
Hello,
I'm running PT HD10 and I don't know if this was common in earlier versions but I notice an audible difference between "Track Input Monitor" and "Record Enable Track". Actually the former sounds better to my ears than the latter. Unfortunately the latter is the only record method I'm aware of. Anyone else experience this?

Don't use TDM here at my studio anymore, but I do at other studios and I've never noticed a difference either.

Re: How come Track Input Monitor sounds different than Track Record Enable?
Thanks Drew!
Guess I should have elaborated more about my setup and what I'm trying to do. I'm recording guitar tracks via a UAD-2 Duo/Friedman amp plugin. I have a DI track for recording the "direct" track and sending that signal to an Aux channel with the Plugin in an insert. I do notice a subtle difference in the tone when comparing Input Monitor and Record Enable. I'll try your suggestion tomorrow and see if that makes a difference or not.

Re: How come Track Input Monitor sounds different than Track Record Enable?
Why not simply insert the amp sim on the DI track? Plugins are POST-record so you would still be recording the "dry" signal. Skipping the AUX track should remove the delay compensation "bug" that might be what you are hearing. Having said that, I have never heard a difference here, but I rarely(if ever) route live tracks like that(thru AUX tracks for monitoring)
