Setting up Stand-Alone Soft Synths
Hi, I'm pretty new to the MIDI world. I am mainly a sample based producer.
I just got the Oxygen 8 MIDI controller and a USB MIDI link (or whatever it's called). I have Absynth and FM7 and am using Pro Tools 5.3.1 LE for Windows (I have ME). Please tell me there is a way to operate these stand-alones through Pro Tools without using a secondary sound card. Can't they be run like sound modules? Can somebody please give me step by step directions how to do this, if at all. Thanks. |

Re: Setting up Stand-Alone Soft Synths
Right now, the second computer seems to be the easiest way to go.
Also 5.3.1 is for XP only, not Me or 9x. |

Re: Setting up Stand-Alone Soft Synths
A second system is your best choice. If that's an option then someone can outline a setup easily.
