Strike hi hat closing by pedal delay

It's been a while since I've messed with PT and Strike. When I click the small trigger keys for the hi hat or from a TD kit, after clicking the key for open hi hat, clicking the pedal key has quite some delay before making the hi hat actually sound closed. I hear the pedal sound fine anytime I click it. It's just that the open hat sound has a delay before it responds to the pedal for closing. I probably forgot or overlooked something. Any ideas? All else is fine for the patch and midi from the TD kit.
