System 5 Brightness Utility

Hi,
We installed a new 408 module. The TFT brightness is set to 160, whereas all other modules have 120. How do I use the brightness utility to get 120 on all modules? What are the necessary settings in the configuration file?

Hi,
Typically the brightness utility needs to be run from a command prompt, and requires that you enter the desired numeric value at the end. Example:
>bright 120.

Another way to change the brightness on a single module involves FTP'ing into the module to get the config file, edit it with the correct setting, and put it back.

Keep in mind that even with the same numeric value set for brightness, displays of differing age may not look exactly the same.

Thanks a lot! This worked well. The new modules seem to have much more brightness though. I needed to set the brightness of the new module to "60" in order to obtain the same brightness as old modules on "120".

Now I just need to update all the other modules to get these smooth and silent new faders! :)
