Default Bouncing to disk locks up MacBook

I can bounce to disk as an mp3 once with no problem, but if I need to do again, it locks up and I have to force quit PT. This happens every time. Running a MacBook 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB ram, OS 10.6.6, PT LE 9.1. Anybody else have this issue?

Are you trying to use your system drive for audio?

I've never trusted Bounce to Disk.

I usually bounce the mix to an audio track and Export the bounce from the Region List with "Export Regions as Files."

I think Eric may have nailed the problem. I know it's a no-no, but I've been trying to avoid carrying around an external drive for my mobile setup and I was just hoping that it wouldn't be an issue. So I guess I either live with this, or carry around the drive. This may also explain the digital distortion I sometimes get while recording with my "Blue Icecicle". Thanks.
