Avoiding the delay when recording with Buses

Hello all,

When I record a few drum mics through a bus aux-input so I can add (some compression and hi-pass stuff) the mics that are not going through the buses get out of sync with the ones that are.

Same is true when Recording vocals,,,,

short of buying outboard gear, what can be done?

Nothing... but you'll probably get better sounds using outboard gear anyway.

Budget is very small and my preamp is a PerSonus TubePre

Sure.. but I'd hate to be the artist trying to perform with the delay.. and as I said previously.. you'll getter better sound recording with outbord gear. Use plug-ins only for correction and effects.. record your music the way you want it to sound.

If you are the artist you will never know that its delayed becuz youll be singing to the whole song pushed back. This works. I tried it last night.

I was talking about the monitoring (latency) delay of the actual vocal (or whatever) you're recording.. there'll be a delay in the headphones/monitors after you actually sing each word.
