Muddy voiceover help?
The lav mic was covered by clothing or something -- resulting in audio that is somewhat muddy -- but mostly "distant" sounding -- as though the mic was picking up reflected audio off the walls -- rather than directly from the subject. The voice needs more presence and sharpness. EQ not doing the trick (there's also quite a bit of background hiss from a ventilation system). Can anyone suggest ideas or any "magic bullet" third party audio software that might help salvage this audio?

Re: Muddy voiceover help?
I think you are out of luck. You may be able to use Waves X-noise or something and some EQ to make it "better" but it's still going to suck. It's the old Garbage in Garbage out theory (I don't mean that as an attack on you) ...only so much you can do after the fact. That sucks, good luck.
