SBS 7 slot bit 3 PCI expansion chassis.
I just bought a SBS bit 3 expansion chassis and I was hoping I’d be able to get 5 pro tools cards into it (actually 7 eventually but for now, my immediate problem is 5).
This expansion chassis only has 4 consecutive open spots as one of the slots is reserved for the backpane controller. Whats the solution? A longer cable? Using the backpane controller in another pcu slot on the chassis? Do they make extender cables? Do I have an unusual unit? |

Re: SBS 7 slot bit 3 PCI expansion chassis.
OK, there is a special ribbon cable for it.
and the expanded systems guide had most of the info waiting for me. disregard unless you got a 8 node or 10 node cable for sale. |
