B.t.w. how to install 10.10.5 if one is on El Capitan?
I got the hint to set the date to 2010 but I still get the message that the installer is corrupt.

OK, got it. Was the wrong date.
But, if you think 10.10.5 is the most stable OS what is the most stable PT version for it?

I agree 10.10.5 yosemite on 2011 mac mini server 2.0 I7
16 gigs ram running Protools 12.3.1.260
Been very stable, no graphics issues or noise blasts.
Had one issue with bouncing where it would add time on the end
or once had crackles..might have been out of date plugs..
afraid to upgrade to anything else!

You have to create a bootable usb drive. I did this recently from El Cap and worked great. Follow this guy.

I did. But it won´t install cause Yosemite stops installing if the date on the Mac is not year 2015.

macOS Sierra is the most stable! Haven't had a single bug with Pro Tools 9! (Just kidding)
