Input monitoring issue with PT10

Hi everyone,

Weird issue I just came across. I'm at a post house and one of the computers is doing a weird thing where it doesn't properly toggle between input and playback on a record track. Or when switched to PEC/Direct, it doesn't toggle between the two. I would feed audio through a bus to a new track (i.e., stems to the print master) and as it plays, it wouldn't switch between input and playback at all despite the green "I" light toggling on and off, the signal just feeds right through the track. Of the many Pro Tools rigs in the building, this is the only one acting this way. I tried trashing preferences, re-installing pro tools, clean reformat of the hard drive and a reinstall of the OS as well as pro tools and I still have the issue. Anyone else come across this?

I believe the fix is to use 10.3.8

That is correct. 10.3.8 has an AAF bug, so you might as well revert to v10.3.7.

Back to 10.3.6 on TDM here, pretty OK.

Thanks for the help everyone! Reverting back down to 10.3.7 did the trick. I guess "over updating" is a thing.

This bug only affected HDN and HDX, right?

No, only HD TDM systems.
