Pro Tools HD Native TB Core + HD I/O Omni
Hi all, Just looking to put a PT HD thunderbolt Native rig together with an Omni interface, i notice that it has two XLR inputs on the front and two on the back, my question is can you have phantom power going to all four XLR simultaneously, for example recording with four condenser mic's, or are you limited to just having two XLR at a time, my guess is that you can have phantom power going to all four XLR simultaneously . I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question but i'm just coming back to recording and post production and hardware was never my strong point. Thank you for any help.

Re: Pro Tools HD Native TB Core + HD I/O Omni
There are only two mic inputs, and phantom power for both of those. You can choose either the front ones or the back ones depending on your needs, but it's still only two of them. You would push "mic" on the front button that says "mic, line, inst, regardless of whether you're using the front or the back ones.
You also have two more analog line inputs, so you can use two more external mic preamps for those, if you need 4 mics. |
