Update-

Snapper is fast - 40 spilt mono channels from 4GB file in just about two minutes! I doesn't retain the .A1 .A2 file names, and also seems to lose the matadata containing the track names, but that is somewhat fixable with "Better Finder Rename". But Snapper is oversight intensive, wish Barb would work! Weirdly, Barba, from the same company, chokes on the same file.

Twisted Wave is even slower than ProTools at the task, so that's a no go.
