Default Saving a copy of a PT 8 session as PT 7?

I need to save a PT 8 session as version 7. But I don't have that as an option from the drop down list when selecting "Save Copy In".

PT version 5.xx-6.9 is not an option for my situation. It needs to be a PT 7 session. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

I think you just need to save it. The files themselves are backwards compatible (as far as I know) the only thing that wouldn't show up in 7 would be newer features such as the Midi Editor and any plugs not on the Version 7 system.

Thanks for the reply. I am using SSL's Pro Convert application to convert a PT session to Nuendo and It keeps telling me that there are no audio files in the PT session.
Pro Convert says it is only compatible with 5.xx-7.4. However, when I saved it as a version 5.xx-6.9 it still didn't work. So it very well may be a Pro Convert problem.

In Nuendo, just import the files from the PT session's audio folder. Wavs are wavs.

Saving as "Latest" covers everything from 7 to 8.

Its not quite that simple. There are over 160 tracks of a live show that runs over 3 hours long. There have been hundreds of overdubs on the original tracks and there are video files involved as well. There have also been tons of edits.

So rather than go in and clean up all the edits and consolidate 160 tracks that are over 3 hours each I am trying Pro Convert to see if it is up to the task.

Make sense?

When you 'save a copy as' are you checking the 'with audio files' box? (or are you even in that window?)
