Default Strange Behavior

I noticed that my CPU meter was peaking once in a while and the running at 30%
I see the 30% even when I don't use PT
I have to make some changes to my computer because it is not up to
Digidesign specs

The weird thing is after I uninstalled PT my CPU meter goes back to 3% .
Any one ever see this.

I realize not meeting the specs is my problem but it irks me the Mbox 2 works great with
SX3 and the new cross-grade version I just bought of Samplitude Pro 9.1

The trouble is I have been spoiled running HD version at the studio on a Sony DMX R100 board
