Protools sucking the memory out of my drive
Recently protools started up it's usual crashing antics for no good reason and that's what I expect but the problem this time round is it seems to be eating up the memory of my system drive every time I run it then close or it crashes and closes.
Windows created a temporary paging file on my PTs drive E the first time it crashed yet my memory is being zapped out of my C system drive.

Re: Protools sucking the memory out of my drive
Since nobody has tried to help, I'm guessing others are as confused as I am about this as your description doesn't make much sense to me
Why? Consider: 1-"memory" is RAM and RAM is not your hard drive. 2-"crashing antics for no good reason", I have no idea what you mean. Many of us run Pro Tools daily with little to zero crashing. 3-you give zero detail on your PC so nobody can guess why you have crashes 4-if you have a properly spec'd PC, then you likely have 32GB of RAM, in which case you should turn Paging File off. 5-what troubleshooting have you done? Trashing prefs is worth a try for any "odd behavior"(and what you are describing sure seems odd to me). 6-look near the top of this(and every) DUC page for the link named Help Us Help You and have a good read. Then come back with relevant information so someone has a fighting chance at helping
