Default Creating a Mono Path from a Stereo Input

Thanks for the help. My interface has 2 (mono) mic inputs that I have combined in the routing software into a single stereo input. I'm feeding a mic level L+R signal to these inputs, originating from a mixer with a single mic input. And so basicilly the mic signal at the interface is dual mono.

IN PT a Stereo Track sees the combined L+R Interface channels. A Mono Track sees the Interface Left and/or Right channels separately, allowing me to select either one.

Is it possible to create a new Mono Input Path that contains the combined L+R Interface channels? Or is my only option to create a Mono Input Path using either the Left or Right Interface Inputs?

Thanks again.

-paul.

Well you could always send your two mono tracks to the same bus...

Thanks. I'm aware of that. I was just wondering if the configuration is supported in the I/O settings and I was missing how to get it done ...

You can't sum channels in the i/o setup. You'll need to create an aux and bus to a mono path.
