Mac Pro tools Unable to find my Audio Interceface

Hi,
Since I went to Pro Tools 2020 every time I open Pro Tools I have that windows that says "Pro tools Unable to find my Audio Interface".

That happens if I go for example to Youtube first and play audio....even when I do not use the Avid Drivers.

I do not have selected in my Mac in Audio Preferences the HDX Card, so I do not play Youtube or anything thru my HDX audio interface.

So I have to restart the Mac and straight open Pro Tools

****If I do not play any audio before I open pro tools all is OK.

This never happened before
Yes I installed the New Pro Tools 2020 Drivers

When I press "Cancel" the HDX card is not in the playback engine options.


I am on a Pro Tools HDX PT 2020.3.0
Mac Pro, High Sierra 10.13.6

Try
Library / audio / plugins / Hal-folder and remove Avid core audio plugin
(Not exact path)

There are similar issues reported in other threads on DUC recently. You should have a look at those. Including this one: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=409341, and the other thread I linked at the end there.

But I think the response you are getting here means you should contact Avid support.

I am in the same boat. At first I thought it was a hw problem, but by restarting my mac from the yosemite partition and by lunching pt 11 all works properly. Did not investigate further yet. Maybe we could try to reinstall the hd driver?

I installed again the Drivers and after few tests seems is working fine again.

I opened the MIDI and Audio to see if my HDX driver is there...

Then I played youtube and stiil there as I have my MacOS Audio selected to work with the Dangerous Music Convert 2

That was the weird thing before...seemed like the MacOS Preferences was taking the HDX audio even when did not have to and then never could released even if I close Youtube or any other player.

*** intall again the Driver with your audio interfaces off

Hopefully will work good now
