All good! Exciting stuff coming for Atmos for me!! Jeff Komar at Avid, I have a feeling we may finally see an integrated Dolby Atmos Renderer. YAY. Maybe Native code. That's what I am waiting for.

Love to, but my 2010 Mac Pro is stuck at Mojave, unless I hack the Catalina upgrade. Really seems pointless since I’ve budgeted for a new machine for awhile. My HD Native card is kind of the sticking point. Problems are reported with it in a chassis used with the Mac Studio, and who knows if (or how long) it will work in a new silicon Mac Pro.

Nope. I believe we won't see Native Apple Silicon happen until a year after Apple releases an OS in which Rosetta 2 is no longer supported. Soooo, PT 2025.x?

I wouldn't hold my breath on Apple Silicon native code. Why? Ventura is not yet out and it is pretty much guaranteed PT needs to be stable on Ventura first. So the earliest possible native support I can think of would be 2022.12 just before year end.

From what I saw at IBC and was explained to me is for example:
you could run Dolby Audio Bridge as main audio engine and then in the new tab in I/O set up, called Aux I/O one can add different engines, like HDX and use it as inputs to record into Atmos session. I am not sure if we could use HDX DSP plug ins as well, as it is about inputs and outputs. But hopefully soon we'll find out. Also they mentioned the engine of Audiomovers can be used as well.

Thanks for that - so essentially it sounds like they're virtual audio busses that are internal to the computer. I wonder how the computer "sees" them - presumably it's different to how it sees sound cards I/Os, so maybe third party apps will need to specifically support them.

Audiomovers already works really well at the end of the master buss. I don't see the advantage of aux i/o in relation to that, but hopefully we find out soon.

You are most likely right, but I have been advised by Avid to move to a newer Mac for to move to a more modern macOS versions as Avid says they have their hands tied as they move forward, with Apple losing compatibility with Mojave for example.
