Avid OMF imports with QT movies
I’ve been doing some location post with OMF from Avid MCs. There were an MC on OSX, one on OS 9.2.2, PC Symphony, and Adrenalins (sop?), dunno what OS.
Some of the movies were fine. Others have caused what sounds like a 44.1K PB, even though the imported OMF shows up as 48K. They bum ones also stutter the frames and mess with the re-draw of PT. And that’s even beofre I import the movie to play, kjust the plain OMF session. The exports have been done “same as source”. They take longer then the Avid techs suggested they would, like 2x instead of 1/2 time. And they’re huge. Like an 8min movie is 8G and has to be broken up for me to use with my PT 5.1.3 on OS 9.2.2 . Does anyone have any experience or suggestions to make the Avid exports more consistent? .
