Saffire pro 40 not powering up anymore
Hi My saffire 40 has stopped powering up. I have changed the fuse, checked power cable, different plug socket etc . But still not powering up.
I leave it permanently on, so was unexpected this morning. Everything else - the mac, drives etc are all working. Any ideas? I don't think focusrite makes these anymore - if i have to buy a new interface-hopefully not- any suggestions

Hmmm, Since you are using firewire(which is quite rare on the current crop of interfaces), your best bet will probably be to buy another used Saffire product. Even the flagship LS56 is pretty affordable these days
 EBay has several Saffire models

Hi Dave,
I ended up taking it apart last night and the glass fuse inside had blown. Maybe because i had been powering down the mac( i don't usually power down) and moving speakers about. I have ordered a replacement fuse. Hopefully that will solve the problem. thanks for your advice though Nikki
