Registered Mbox 2 Yesterday, 6 Months later

Hey there guys.

Just quick question, regarding the free Pro tools 8 Upgrade.
After hearing about people receiving free Upgrades to Pro Tools 8, I realized I never registered my Mbox 2, which i purchased in July 2008.

So I went to the Registration page yesterday, filled in all the Details.
Though I was honest enough to put my exact purchase date as July 2008, I didn't realize until now that if you purchased after October your entitled to the Pro Tools 8 Upgrade.

I'm wondering if I had faked my purchase date as December would I be entitled to the free upgrade? Or do they the by the Serial Numbers of when the Mbox was produced.

I'm kicking my self If i have made this error, I have been hearing great things about PT's 8 but i just don't have the cash to fork out for it.

Certainly, they do not know when it was purchased by serial number. Things are sold by SKU, and those are all the same.

So, I'd gather if you did lie, you would have been able to get PT8.

Not that any of us here would advocate lying!
