You would need 7.4.2 for compatibility with Leopard and can purchase the upgrade through the Digistore (assuming you do not qualify for a free upgrade).

Or you qualify for the (free) amnesty upgrade to 7.4 if you recently purchased Digi hardware that shipped with 7.3. If you do qualify, you'll receive an e-mail with the details when you register yhe hardware.

So just to be certain any version of pro-tools LE that is below 7.4.2 will not work with OS 10.5.5. Is that correct?

Correct. If you do purchase an upgrade to 7.4.2 now, you will receive a free upgrade to Pro Tools 8.
