HAHAHAHAHHA - you nailed it! Maybe they include the second power harness in the box - that's the big improvement - no downtime when the faulty part [bleep] the bed! This is pretty bad - I'm hoping Apple rebuilds Logic as direct competitor to Pro Tools in the next version - either it will allow me to use just one DAW again (I use PT LE, Logic Pro & DP right now), or force Avid's hand so they'll throw us the Plug-In Delay Compensation bone. This is one of the most pathetic upgrade offerings ever.

anyone else notice that they got rid of line inputs 1-4? now they're DI only?
I feel like it was a waste of time for me to even look at that new product page

It would still be a TRS insert... call it whatever you want. It's +4 or -10db switchable (same as the 002).

They're still there.

It seems that Digi took the 002 and changed one MAJOR oversight: it says it runs "MIDI Stand-alone" mode, which seems like a Command 8, letting you use the 003 controls with other programs besides PT. At least it seems that way.

Where does all this speculation about a 003 Pro come from? I don't see that at all... If anything, the desktop 003 is the pro.

Hopefully the Command 8 will remain current. I'd be very surprised if it didn't since it is compatible with LE and HD.

has anyone looked at the 360 pic of either unit? if you look at the back of each unit, zoom in and notice to the left of the footswitch there is some kind of Key? does any one know what this is for?
