Pro Tools LE 7.3 installation hanging
Hi all,
I've been having some issues installing PT. I run the installation and it gets hung up on the installing of the hardware drivers and just stays on that screen. I end up having to shut down my computer to get the installation to stop and of course it ends up being a corrupted installation. According the task manager, the installation is "Running" and doesn't appear to be frozen. Anybody have any ideas of things I should try? The hardware is an MBox2 Mini, FYI. Any help is much appreciated! Re: Pro Tools LE 7.3 installation hanging
Do you have IE8 installed? If so, wipe out the PT installation, roll back to IE7 and then try reinstalling PT.
Cheers,

Re: Pro Tools LE 7.3 installation hanging
Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the reply. I don't have IE8 so that shouldn't be an issue...any other ideas? I followed the instructions in the manual closely, but as I check out this board, I notice that people suggest other things that AREN'T in the manual for installing PT (like disabling certain audio/video drivers, virus protection programs). Is there an installation guide out there that provides some of these steps that aren't in the official manual? |
