Question "No output device selected in Studio Monitor Express, using Default Output"??

Guys, this message keeps popping up when I'm in Finder or anything that's not a web browser, Pro Tools or audio/video player:

No output device selected in Studio Monitor Express, using Default Output (Mbox Pro). If you want to change this configuration, please select an output device.
Studio Monitor Express is closed. Why does it keep poppin' up?

Hi,

You probably have the studio monitor express assigned in the AMS audio midi setup as the audio device for general mac sounds but haven't assigned any outputs to that device!

The AMS audio window is where I would start looking for the answer.

i had the same problem , my solution : i went to the application " studio monitor " ( inside euphonix application folder ) , and i configured it ( changing "building output" by something else ( i put "2ch soundflower" but you can change it the way you want ) .
or uninstall "studio monitor" if you don't need it .
