digi 002 console

I just got PT 12.7 and I'm using a new I Mac with Sierra os 10.12.2. I can't get my digi 002 console to be recognized by PT. I downloaded the latest 002-003 family driver ( 11.1.5.dmg ) the 002 works with quicktime player but not PT. How do I do this?

I don't think the 002 is supported anymore is it?

What I've heard is the interface will work but not the control surface.

12.7 does work w 002R in Win 10 using the same drivers as with 12.5.

If you look at the avid official page here:

You will see that it states that the 002 console is untested and unsupported, which essentially means they have made no effort to make it work nor do they intend to. It's a case of you're on your own. If it works, great, if not, well, there's probably not a lot of hope that it will work unfortunately. Could possibly roll back to earlier versions if you need the 002 console...

It's always good to make sure that your hardware/software is compatible with the OS and eachother before making a change. I've made that mistake in the past, it's generally a costly and time-consuming one.

yeah I noticed all that. people seemed to make it work so I thought I'd be able to also by finding someone here who has done it
