Default Re: BFD & Trilogy in Ver 6.9.2 ?

Why not use a dual boot system go back to Panther for BFD?
I would be nevous as hell using Tiger until all the bugs are fixed.
Everyone knows Digi pushed 6.9.2 out the door in a rush
... which translates into 'Released with Bugs'

Hey Cliffy Boy, does Rewire mode actually work in Tiger? I have heard through several people that it is almost unusable.

There is no reason at all to use BFD in ReWire mode in Pro Tools 6.7 and above. ReWire mode was a "hack" for older Pro Tools versions (6.1 thru 6.4) which did not support multiple outputs from instruments. In 6.7 and above, you use "RTAS Multi Outs" mode instead, which is way slicker.. you insert BFD as a RTAS plug-in on one track, and BFD's sub-outputs become available as input sources(!!) for all your other tracks.. so you can record them straight to the tracks like you would a line-in.

Personally, for mission-critical work, I'd stick with 6.7 and Panther right now.. that's not to say that 6.9.2 is unstable, simply that 6.7/Panther is proven stable.
