how the heck do I get PTLE 6.0?

I am currently coming out of the dark ages and upgrading first to Jaguar and maybe Panther sometime in the distant future. I have OS 9.2.2 now with Digi001 and PTLE version 5.1. I have followed links and read all about PTLE 6.x on Digidesign.com and all that, but it always ends up at version 6.9 or something as the only one you can buy (and I know 6.4 is the last one I can use with 001). I realize I'm late in wanting to upgrade to version 6, but where can I get it these days?

This is a little bit complicated since there no current upgrades for Jaguar (not that many requests for it). So you would need to do this in 2 steps if you want to run on Jaguar: Upgrade to Pro Tools LE 6.4, then request the Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 CD from Digi CS.

The specially priced upgrade ($35 in the US) to Pro Tools LE 6.4 for Digi 001 owners is only available on the DigiStore:

Look under Pro Tools Legacy Upgrades on the US store, listed on the left side. Or under Pro Tools Upgrades on the European stores. You will be able to choose either a download of Pro Tools LE 6.4 or the Pro Tools LE 6.4 CD.

To complete your order, you will need your Digi 001 hardware Serial Number which can be found on the back or bottom of your 001 breakout box (the audio interface part, not the PCI card).

Your Digi 001 does not have to be registered, and you do not need to have any previous installation of Pro Tools to use the full installers.

Pro Tools LE 6.4 is the last version that will work with the Digi 001. For compatibility information, please see the Digi 001 links in the Compatibility Documents section in Support:

In order to use Pro Tools on Jaguar instead of Panther, you would need to purchase the Pro Tools LE 6.4 Upgrade first on the DigiStore, but do not try to install it on Jaguar. It will not install and will not run.

You would need to contact Digi Customer Service Administration:

with your DigiStore Order number, and request the Pro Tools LE 6.1.2 installation CD for Mac OS 10.2.8 (Jaguar). That is the last version that will run on Jaguar:

There is no download of the full installer for Pro Tools LE 6.0 through 6.1.2, only updaters. So you have to install PTLE for Jaguar from the CD.

One more thing we should mention...
The DigiStore will be down for annual maintenance the week of July 25th (this Monday). So if you want to get started on this process soon, you would need to purchase the upgrade on the DigiStore today or tomorrow. Otherwise the store will be back up after this coming week.

Okay but what if I wait to upgrade Pro Tools until I get Panther--then I can go directly to 6.4 right? And where in the DigiStore can I find the 6.4 for $35? All I can find under software upgrades are upgrades to version 6.9 which I know I can't use with 001. Even doing search for "6.4 LE" produces no results. I even went to the Compatibility page, clicked on PT 6.4 for Digi001 and it tells me to go to the DigiStore to get the discounted version, but I just can't find where exactly to buy it! Please advise!

You were looking under "Pro Tools Upgrades" and you need to look under "Pro Tools Legacy Upgrades" which is just above it to find the $35 PT 6.4 for Digi001.

Alright I'm officially an idiot! I think I looked everywhere but there because I thought Legacy was something else...anyway, thanks for the help!
