M-Audio Fast Track Ultra on El Capitan

Hi,

I just wanted to report that my audio interface is not recognized under Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan (Golden Master) with the latest driver (2.3.3 from Dec. 2014).

I know that this interface is a bit older but are there plans for compatible drivers?

I would also love to know if and when there will be an El Capitan Driver.
My FT Ultra 8R is like a brick otherwise.

I've inquired as to how long devices will continue to receive driver updates. I'll post back when I have that info (it might not be specific to the FTU).

The M-Audio division was sold by Avid and the new M-Audio company is not making the Fast Track interfaces anymore.

I really hope we'll get a driver quickly, I was almost off to my dealer today to pick up a Focusrite Scarlett.

Right, Avid retained the Fast Track devices when they sold M-Audio to InMusic.

RE the Scarlett, I'm quite happy with my 18i20.

I googled a little and it seems there is a general USB Audio problem in El Capitan, many interfaces don't work right now.

I waited to download 10.11.1 till Nov. 12
Started using El Capitan and Drivers are failing for (fast track ultra mix 8)
Is there a fix yet? When will I be able to use all the Avid/M-Audio equipment I have invested not only my money but some serious time into?
Looked at the avid site in the notes it states this is the final driver...What does this mean? All of my time and money is out the window

Easy fix: Go back to Yosemite.

Avid have posted the El Cap support wont be coming to Mbox 2 and some other hardware. While I don't have info on the FTU specifically, I will say it is good news that it wasn't mentioned in that KB article...
