Fade Files moved to another hard drive
Hi, my fade files are moving to another hard drive and its really annoying.
I've searched the forums and found similar issues and it relates to the disk allocation Is there a way to permanently set disk allocations so every session is in the folder and that I do not have to check every session I'm working on ? Thanks |

Re: Fade Files moved to another hard drive
You can avoid recording to the wrong drive by opening the workspace browser (Window > Workspace) and, in the A (Audio) column, select T for Transfer, P for Playback or R for Record, according to each drive’s function.
That way, Pro Tools will know if you’re trying to do something wrong - it will only record to the drives you specify. Tips |

Re: Fade Files moved to another hard drive
This can happen when using template sessions, if you open the template session first(and then hit Save as,,, and call it something new). A more safe way to use templates(PT8 changes all this BTW) is to create a new session on the drive you wish to record to(with the new name). Once this new blank session is open, go to File>Import Session Data, and point to your template session and choose all the tracks.
