Talking Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 plays well with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion

I've seen the official statements about Pro Tools compatibility with 10.7 Lion, but I'd like to share that I've had no issues running Pro Tools LE 8 under Lion.

I did a clean Lion install on a formatted hard drive for my Late 2008 MacBook Pro and I've installed Pro Tools LE 8.0.5. I run 2 instances of pro tools on 2 machines, my main record workstation is Quad core Power PC (hence I'm stuck with the Universal Binary of Pro Tools LE v8) with an MBox2. The laptop I use for editing/mixing with a MBox Micro and a USB MIDI Keyboard. I haven't yet plugged the MBox2 into the laptop so I can't comment on whether the Lion/Pro Tools set up performs under an input/record/monitoring load.
Pro Tools 8 installed fine and works with crashing/glitching with MIDI keyboards, plugins, mixing, editing and bouncing down.

I wonder if anyone else has any similar or conflicting experiences?

I also installed Pro Tools ''MP'' 8.0.5 on Lion and it's working great. It's not crashing at the moment...

I am successfully recording, using PT 8.0.3 and OSX 10.7.2, but then I am not using any MIDI controlled devices. I know that when I updated to Lion, it removed the PT MIDI controller plugin (DigidesignMbox2MIDI.plugin), so I suspect if I were to attach a MIDI device, I may run into problems.

I do wonder if I were to upgrade to PT LE 8.0.5 if things would go south.

Any ideas?

I would like to hear about this, too. I've been holding back on upgrading ONLY because of my concern about ProTools not working. Its been over 4 months since Lion came out! Small developers have fixes right away for their apps. Its pretty shameful (but not surprising from what I'm told) that there hasn't been an official update yet.

I may try to upgrade today just to see what happens...

I recently upgraded to Lion and PT8.0.5 runs BUT I cannot get any MIDI devices to work. Has anyone gotten MIDI to work on Lion with a Mbox 2 ?

I upgraded to Lion and now cannot use Protools LE 8.0.5, it crashed totally . I have removed pro tools from my iMac now.
Is there a way around this problem? without having to buy PT10.I am using Mbox 2, which is also now removed from my system. I may just go to Logic

My iMac also works great with Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 and Lion :)

Until I decided to install what I also bought...

So after Line 6 GuitarPort, Pod Farm 2.5 and Logic Pro nothing works except for Pro Tools...

I need those plugins! I'm a guitarist. I also work a lot with Logic!

After everything you could possible imagine I'm going back to Snow Leopard!

The thing is, even in Snow Leopard I had a few grey screens because of Pro Tools!!!

So what's next??? I think Avid, Apple with Logic and Line 6 are all sleeping for me...

And that's my story...

Logic will work in Lion if you remove Pro Tools and the Mbox 2, at least from my experience...And then you get stuck with the iMac internal soundcard...
