no sound!!!!!

I also had a problem with my speakers not working
So once i downloaded my mbox2 mini and pro tools 8 my speakers stopped working on stereo and only it works on mono but on pro tools i dont get any sound at all. I have 2 alesis M1Active 320USB speakers and i bought two balanced 1/4 inch jacks for the mon out and the inputs on my speaker, but it still doesnt work?
is it because they are usb speakers and not studio monitor speakers?
or is there some configuration that i have to do?

I doubt USB speakers will work. Have they got analog inputs at all to connect via jack or XLR to your Pro Tools interface?

Yea they do have the inputs for 1/4 inch on the speakers and i got the cables and plugged them into the mon out on the audio interface and the input on the speakers but i still dont get any sound?

yes hes right usb speakers will prolly not work with pro tools because ur speakers need to be pluged into the output section of ur m-box or digi consol .... u need some 1/4 to 1/4 cables and run from the monitors to the Left out and Right Out of ur m-box then u need to make sure the mono mode white push thingy is not pushed in and then turn ur mix knob to the left or right its one of them and u should hear something
