Default When I enable a track to record and then hit 'play' the track will remain silent

Hi,

Unfortunately I've got 2 keyboards plugged in, one was left on the ground and I accidentally got a bit happy with my feet and well - I think I triggered a few unnecessary shortcut keys!

Basically my problem is that when I set a track to record (by clicking on the R and making it red), then if I hit play, that track will remain silent whilst the rest of the song plays. This is driving me mad. Obviously I expect to be able to hear the track unless I hit record + play and lay down a recording. Its more annoying when I want to record over a small section so obviously I need to hear the part of the track through my headphones before I reach the punch into the section I'm recording into.

Basically what I want is it to go back to how it normally was, you set a track on record, and if you decide to play your session that track will play what is currently recorded and the live sound through the track (eg guitar plugged in) is muted.

I hope this makes sense and it's easily fixable.

I'm running pro tools m-powered 7.4 on a PC

Cheers William

Thanks for your time!
