Exclamation Snow Leopard 003 Digi CoreAudio issue

Hey guys, I just upgraded my MacBookPro from Leopard to Snow Leopard.

So heres the deal:

My 003 rack was working fine when I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard, but now since I upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard, my 003 isn't showing up in the output or input. Extremely frustrated over the situation.

I'm hoping its a simple solution.

Right now I'm downloading my free PT8 upgrade that I got when I purchased my 003 rack almost over a year ago. I'm hoping that PT8 LE and its 8.0.3 upgrade thing will somehow fix the issue.

I boot up CoreAudio and the Host light comes on my 003 rack, but like I said, still nothing shows up in the sound preferences, for both Input and Output.

I'm obviously extremely ignorant to all of this, so ANY and ALL help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

Spend some time in the LE on Mac section of the DUC. You absolutely NEED the latest update for SL.

Not only that, but did you do an install of Snow Leopard over Leopard? If so, we've seen the same problems with that as we did with did with previous OS installs over an already installed OS.

You should always do a clean install of a new OS, then use the Migration Assistant to move your user data over to the new OS.

Lastly - have you done any of the steps in the General Troubleshooting thread yet?

hi,

i too have a driver issue. i have installed both the stand alone (CoreAudio_Installer_v803_64550.dmg) and the 002/003(002_003_Drivers_v90_69599.dmg.)

i can only use the stand alone driver for when i am using ableton live or native instruments stand alone (not in rewire), but when i open pro tools 9 the core audio on my 003 is not available in the audio/midi setups. i can launch the coreaudio driver and see that it is connected (host lights green) but no sound from the 003. i do however get audio from pro tools 9 from my internal macbook pro sound card.

how do I switch between using the stand alone apps and pro tools 9 with both drivers? can i? i know i can rewire ableton and native instruments in pro tools but is there a driver that can support both stand alone applications and pro tools 9? i am able to just reinstall the other driver, restart, and switch depending on my work flow, but its pretty annoying.

i have a macbook pro, snow leopard 10.6.4 , 2.4 ghz, intel i5, 4gb
hds, 003, unitor 8
2 external hd to rec to.

also here are my current pro tools 9 installs;

DigiDioMidiDriver_v90_Fix_70303.dmg
Pro_Tools_901_Full_Installer_70285.dmg
Pro_Tools_901_Updater_70288.dmg

Unitor8-64.dmg for unitor 8 app - when launched does not see the 003...but thats another thread...

thanks in advance
