Default Pro Tools MP won\'t even install

I am trying to install PT m powered on my ibook which runs 10.3.9. I understand that I need 10.4 but shouldn't i at least be able to get the installer window running? I am able to install the demo version and it then tells me i need 10.4. but when i try to install the actual program, nothing happens. And i mean nothing. I click on the installer package and the introduction installer window doesn't even come up. is this because i am running 10.3.9 or do i have a bad install dvd?? I'm about to go and buy os 10.4 but im worried that i still wont be able to install pro tools. please help

if you "understand" you need 10.4, why are you even asking?

if you're so sadly insecure you need to be rude and snotty on a messageboard, why even get out of bed in the morning?

I'm assuming that you're trying to install M-Powered 7.x on a Panther system? I think you will find there's some binary incompatibilies between the two (as well as perhaps some of the shell environments, Korn for example) that may be preventing you from even installing the product. You may be able to get an older version installed. Check the compatibility matrix on digi's website, there's a link from the forum to it.
