Since I hate all sorts of subscriptions, is there a way I can upgrade to the latest 12.x.x version somehow? I mean I really hate the subscription model.

Avid 1-Year Updates + Support for Pro Tools Perpetual License Expired Plan
US $299 from Sweetwater ($300 cheaper than current new price).
https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...e-expired-plan
“If your Pro Tools update plan has expired, this Avid 1-year Software Updates + Support Plan for Pro Tools lets you reinstate it at an attractive price. This plan provides you with a year of software updates as soon as they're released, and one year of support from Avid, ensuring that your system remains current with up-to-the-minute releases and upgrades. This Avid 1-year Software Updates + Support Plan for Pro Tools is not a subscription. If you choose not to renew this plan when it expires, the Pro Tools software and the upgrades you've received are yours to keep.”

Send Sweetwater an email – check if this Reinstatement applies for either your PT9 or PT 10 & 11 Perpetual licenses.

Tip: pay a little extra – pay via PayPal - then, if you don’t get what’s advertised, you can get a Refund (even if it takes a couple of months).
