Avid Video Engine with I/O Box - Question
Hi all,
I wonder if Pro Tools video works better with an external I/O box attached to it rather than a simple full-screen video output from a GPU? Any performance improvements when using an I/O video box instead of the GPU output? Many thanks in advance.

Re: Avid Video Engine with I/O Box - Question
Yes, the IO box (Blackmagic or Aja) will output the video at it's native framerate. The fullscreen computer screen has to fit the framerate into the pc's screen framerate (commonly 60Hz). The sync is smoother and more stable, the output is always borderless fullscreen. The video levels are correct (dnx on a pc screen looks washed out). It's a no-brainer if you ask me.
