Codex Errors ??when copying mixdowns to CD

What do I need to do to get the CDs playable in regular CD players?

When copying 44.1/16 WAV files to CD for burning, using both the Finder to burn and Toast to burn, the CD's are unable to play in regualr CD players. The Finder ones will playback on the computer, but not on a regular CD player. thanks for your help.
