Same issue here
ID does not match.

Bought a used ER 2 weeks ago and upgraded it to FW1.03 and then bought Expansion Pack yesterday.

I have opened a case at AVID and waiting for new ID and Serial.

Used same XP-SP3 machine that worked with the FW1.03 upgrade.

Got new Serial yesterday and with this the upgrade worked.

All done, tested some new stuff.

Hi guys,

I bought the expansion pack today and it seems to have the same issue. I've tryed making a case with Avid but it seem even the support website is broken (invalid request - after clicking post on the webform)

Jeffro, can you help out? I was eager on buying this for some time and it seems to have some bad luck.

I'm using a Windows 10 machine, hope this doesnt pose a problem as i dont have access to any machines running lower versions.

Got a response from customer care (Corina) with a new SN/System ID but it still doesnt work.

First it said that the Serial Number entered is not valid for your product

and now after a while it says that I've reached the maximum allowed activation for this serial number.

...

my eleven rack is still running 1.0.3...

Some further explanation: I've originally used the second license key on my windows 10 machine and the update crashed so i installed windows XP sp3 in a virtualPC instance, and it seems it kind-off locked itself on my original installation (windows 10)

Guess i kinda need the serial number reset. This is kind-off ridiculous tbh..

after a 3rd reset it worked ! Thank you Corina & Avid.

For reference, you dont need to have an actual XP SP3 computer to perform the upgrade. Doing it in a virtualized pc works just as well.

Yes it is ridiculous, but you had the right idea, the code does indeed lock itself to the OS install that you first ran it on, even if it does not actually update the firmware. But you got it sorted, so that's great.
