The main benefit for me would be 1 for studio and 1 for live use.

For me it would be tracking guitars (more than one) and tracking guitar and bass together live

Other benefits are -

Something to loan to the other guy who is asking "what's that".

A Pro Tools 11 license.

Quicker rig switching (certainly if you can A/B/Y) the outputs. That is going to get complex/confusing fast.

Dual Amp/Cab rigs.

Endless hours of entertainment tweaking silly stuff like chaining Eleven Racks in series (e.g. with AES/EBU), running one Eleven Rack in the FX loop of another. Because you know how guitar players are...

wow...resurrection for sure.....

I ended up using the FX loop into a Pod HD Pro just to add the range of effects from that unit to the 11R's arsenal. Works brilliantly!

For having two 11R units live, the principles would be the same...OUT FX Send into the main input on the 2nd unit then OUT the FX Send into the FX Return. That way you can set the position of the FX loop where you need it for each patch. I've been using it this way for 4 years and the Ground Control Pro can control each patch or fx block with different channels.

For me personally, I would buy a second 11R just to have as a dedicated studio unit.
