What\'s With External Drives?
So In just got one and I need info...does Pro Tools Go On it? Do the plug ins go on it? Where does protools and the plug ins go? Could pro tools go on my internal hard drive and the plug ins on the external. Someone please answer me with the correct procedure. Thanks!!!

To my knowledge, Pro Tools and plugins should all go on your system drive and only your audio goes on the external (audio) drive.

yes indeed. PT and p-ins on system drive. some say PT is more stable if you move your current session to your system drive as well and merely store on the F/W drive. this is untested for me though but it sorta makes sense, esp. if your Ram and Bus speeds are nice and bulky.
