Pro Tools 11 | iLok

I have the PT 10/11 bundled license. Avid says, for 11 you need the iLok 2.
I put this license on an iLok 1, and it works fine with PT10.
Does this mean, 11 will work with the iLok 1 as well, given it's the exact same license file?

Hi,

I doubt it! PT11 needs ilok 2 (Something to do with 64 bit inscription and security yada yada!)

They are stating iLok2 only. I'm going to guess for a reason.

Just because your PT10-9 bundle is working with Pro Tools 10 doesn't mean that PT11-10 will. Its a while new licensue bundle.

Who says 10-9 bundle?
As I said in my first post, I have the 10-11 bundle and it's sitting on an iLok 1 - and PT 10 runs fine with it. Hence my question.

My bad. I misread your post. Your saying that you have the PT 10-11 bundle on a iLok v1. OK. (Envious!)

But there's no guarantee that that will work with the actual PT 11 software. That may require a ILok 2. I'm guessing Avids said that for reason.

Maybe to help push iLok's sales in return for candy.
I just ordered another iLok 2 today, but I'll keep it in the drawer and try the iLok 1 first, once 11 is out.

No. if Avid says PT11 needs an ILok2, then PT11 needs an ILok2.
