Default 2 hours (and counting) late on delivering a cue. Video engine is going haywire. Help?

Slight emergency maybe?

I spent all night working, 2nd all nighter in a row. Left the computer to start a pot of coffee, and came back 5 minutes later to a pinwheel.

Force quit, restarted, same issue.
Force quit, shut down, power up, same issue.
Trash everything trashable (using the handy app) and restart. Same issue.

Had a hunch it was the video engine, but also I had just created a new instrument track with a Kontakt instrument I rarely use. So,

Created a new session imported everything except the new instrument track. Pinwheel. Force quit. Try again.

Import everything, including the new instrument track, except for the video. Runs perfect.

Import the video, get about 30 seconds of playback and then pinwheel.

Force quit, reopen, reimport everything except the video, and this time don't import it from the old session. Re-download it, transcode it again (ProRes 422HQ) and reimport a crispy new video file. Again, get about 30 seconds of playback before a pinwheel.

No error messages, no nothing. I've probably put 45 hours in on this cue in the last 3 days. Not a single hiccup. No CPU errors, no video engine errors, no AAE errors. It's been smooth. About 10 days ago I updated from 10.10.5 to 10.12.1, and it has been kinda awesome. GUI lag was gone, things ran smoother. But now this. I've never had this issue before. Always felt like I was one of the lucky few who didn't have video engine errors. Of course they creep up when I'm almost ready to deliver.

I've read over other posts, no real answers. Anything I should try before I reinstall?

Dude! I feel your pain. I've been there. Have you tried a different video format as an experiment?

Four people answered the post and no response from the OP. Did you work out your problem, jamin? Be a decent chap and follow-up, especially when people are trying to help you.
