Default Time Adjuster issues

I've been trying to get a better handle of time adjuster when doing conversions on D/A and back to A/D. I've been trying to time align tracks that are being sent out analog(for proccesing comps and Eqs) with the originals. Now the manual says that it is an 81 sample delay(I've actually confirmed this by recording the track and comparing the two). Now it says you place and 81 sample delay on the original and the recorded track should be in time. Now the problem I have noticed is that instead of being in time, the new track is still 81 samples off? I tried placing the delay on the new track and that comes out to be 162(81+81). I would like to be able to monitor the new track with the right sample placement and not have to record and shift it after. Also if you have aux sends on the original track at the same time you are recording the new track does this shift it further? Thanks for the replies.

Default Re: Time Adjuster issues

I would suggest the following:

1-Shift the original track 81 samples early (to the left)
2-Duplicate the path
3-Add a Time Adjuster plug-in on the duplicated path.

This is what I mean when I say "Duplicate the path":
-If you are using a Send to route the audio to your external device (and returning on an Aux Input), create a 2nd Send that goes to a (unused) bus. Then, create another Aux Input, set its Input to the same bus and open a Time Adjuster plug-in this Aux to delay the signal accordingly.

If you are using plug-ins on your Audio Track, you will need to compensate for the TDM delay incurred by the plug-ins. You can always find out this value by clicking twice on the Volume indicator (the box just below the Output assignment of a track in the Mix Window).
