Default Fresh Install for PT 12 HDX MacOS M Lion, Yosemite or Mavericks

I AM PLANNING TO INSTALL A NEW HARD DRIVE, A FREASH MACOS AND PT HD 12 WITH MY HDX CARD.

What is the Most Stable MacOS for Pro Tools HDX and PT 12?

Tough call as there are LOTS of variables... mostly what plug ins/VI's you're using and how well the manufacturer supports a given version of the OS. I've been running Sierra for the past 4 weeks and love it! Pretty much no issues at all, BUT I did perform a clean (from the ground up) install of everything AND I'm not running a huge inventory of plugs and no VI's - Waves Gold, Serato P n Time Pro and that's about it. My other system (which uses a heap of VI's and a load more plugs) is still on Yosemite and running very well.

All depends on your needs.
i.e. HD10 for old session updating required Mac OS 10.8.5
If you multimedia Mac then Mac OS 10.12.x build not supported but from a clean build using the App Manager HD driver is as stable as some others.

Key will be re-installing / updating all plug-ins and have enough memory with SSD boot drives.

More information could get you you more than a general layout as I've put forth.

I use my Pro Tools for Mixing, that is my Priority.

Mountain Lion was solid with Pro Tools 10...

But I do not know how behaves with PT 12

I'm finding PT12 HD VERY stable in Yosemite 10.10.5.

So people recommend Yosemite over Maverick?

Maverick with PT HD 12.5.2. Rock solid. Have been struggling before with different combo. Won't change for anything.
